Gamers across the UK have been told that Microsoft will be launching a new Xbox in the near future.
Videogamer.com has seen a new job listing by the console makers and deduced that an updated machine should be available in the next 18 months.
The news is sure to spike demand for the new console and a host of its rivals including the Sony Playsation and Nintendo Wii.
Gaming has come a long way in recent years and is now a far cry from the days when a bin bag full of cassettes that took hours to load on the Commodore 64 were the extent of your home entertainment.
The progress does, however, come at a cost with modern day consoles costing upwards of £400 and top game titles, like Fifa 2012, Call of Duty and Tiger Woods Golf, carrying price tags in the £45 region.
That said, gaming is increasingly becoming a family activity and a cash loan could help a number of households afford a new machine instantly, giving them plenty of time to practice ahead of the cold winter months.
