Samsung announces iPhone rival

Samsung is preparing to launch its latest rival to the iPhone - the Galaxy Note.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the new smartphone will be unveiled at an industry event in Germany next month.
The timing of the launch means that the Samsung phone is likely to be released ahead of the much-anticipated iPhone 5 from Apple.
A Samsung spokesman told the news provider: "We plan to unveil the next Galaxy Note at the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event in Berlin on August 29th."
Last year saw Samsung overtake Apple as the market leader in the smartphone world, but things could change once both handsets are released.
One thing is certain though, and that is that neither of the phones will be cheap.
On a pay-as-you-go basis the iPhone retails at more than £400 and the Samsung model is expected to be similarly priced.
Those looking to keep up to date with the latest technology, but lacking the financial clout to do so, could benefit from taking out a short-term cash loan in time to land one of the sophisticated new phones.
